2009 Most Awaited Movies! (3rd Installment)

America is now full of hope and after Obama’s inaugural speech, the world now awaits as to what will happen to America now. America is in recession and everybody knows that it is going to a long ardous journey with Obama. But while they wait for the promise of a better America and better world, let’s tide our worries by entertaining ourselves.

Here is the third part of the 2009 Hollywood movies that I think has a potential to become blockbusters.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

A sequel to the 2007 Transformers, which was the first live action Transformers ever done, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is set for release on June 26, 2009. My friends who are Transformers fans liked the first Transformers but there are some details of the show that they felt disappointed with.

However, they all said that the sequel is still very much anticipated film. Unfortunately I was not able to watch the first Transformers. But, I will definitely make it a point to watch ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’.

According to the producers and makers of the film, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen introduces more new characters. By characters I mean robots, they also have scenes that include several countries, one of the most important one is Egypt.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen stars…

Ice Age: Dawn of Dinosaurs

Otherwise also known as Ice Age 3 is one of my personal much awaited. I’ve watched both previous Ice Age with my nephews and they just so loved it.
This is a great movie for those who wants a good laugh and to relax. One of my favorite actress Queen Latifah is going to voice one of the characters.

Public Enemies

It’s a bit eerie that they are showing the film this year. At a year when USA has declared that they are in recession.

Why?

Because the crime drama is set during the Great Depression.

Public Enemies is an adaptation of Bryan Burrough’s book ‘Public Enemies: America’s Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of FBI’. The book in turn is based on history of the FBI.

The film stars…

Johnny Depp

Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

Need I say more? Needless to say there are a lot of Harry Potter fans that got disappointed because of the suspension of its airing last year. Anyway, the good news is that it is going to push through this year.

But as early as now, we should all file a petition already that the two more movie installment (they are dividing the last one into two installment) be aired on time.

There are a number of changes from the book in the film. Much of the book’s ending has been changed, with the Battle of Hogwarts and Dumbledore’s funeral being removed. Heyman commented that the end battle was removed to “[avoid] repetition” with the forthcoming adaptation of Deathly Hallows. The funeral was removed as it did not fit with the rest of the film. The collapse of a Muggle bridge (which is only mentioned in the book) acts as the opening sequence. All but two of the memory scenes, including that of the Gaunts, have been cut. Only the flashbacks of Tom Riddle at the orphanage and Riddle asking Slughorn about Horcruxes remain. Yates said they made the decision to compress the memories, but still have some really cool ones. Characters who are cut include the Dursleys, Kreacher, Dobby, and the Muggle Prime Minister. However, Quidditch, being excluded from the previous film, returns.
